GRIZZLIES NEWS: Memphis Grizzlies All-Rookie Second Team Forward GG Jackson Blows Hot, Gives Savage Reply After been Told LeBron James Would ‘Lock Him Up In Court’.

GG Jackson, a forward for the Memphis Grizzlies, corrected a misconception regarding his clash with LeBron James during his visit to a public school in Memphis on Tuesday. Jackson retaliated to the statement that James would “lock him up” on the floor by reminding the children that he scored 31 points in their previous game against the Lakers.

Grizzlies beat writer Damichael Cole stated, “A kid just walked up and told GG Jackson that LeBron James would lock him up.” “His response? ‘I gave him 31, bro.'”

The game in question dates back to April 12, during the last few days of the season when LeBron and the Lakers visited Memphis. With one assist and one rebound in forty minutes, Jackson scored thirty-one points against the Lakers. Jackson failed to disclose, though, that the Grizzlies lost the game by a score of three points because he let LeBron score 37 points that evening.

LeBron did not lock down Jackson, but he did dominate on the other end, and the Lakers were able to pull off a much-needed victory and guarantee their spot in the play-in tournament. LeBron has actually had the Grizzlies’ number for the previous few seasons.

Not counting the NBA playoffs in 2023, when they defeated the Grizzlies in six games to get to the Western Semi-Finals, he guided the Lakers to a 3-1 record against the team. In summary, the Grizzlies haven’t been as fortunate as GG Jackson, who can claim solo victories against the King. The Grizzlies appear to be far from done dealing with the Lakers and everything that LeBron brings to the table, as James has committed to playing in the NBA for a few more years.

LeBron might consider exacting retribution on Jackson the next time they play on the court, so Jackson had better hope he doesn’t hear his most recent statement.

The Memphis Grizzlies Are All Set to Make a Resurrection

Even with players like GG Jackson, Desmond Bane, and others giving it their all, the Grizzlies were not good enough to make the playoffs this year. Ja Morant’s ban at the start of the season put them in a big hole from the start. By mid-November, they had dropped their opening six games and were 4-13.

The Grizzlies were close to the bottom of the rankings with a very little chance of entering the top six by the time that Morant returned after 25 games.

Sadly, Morant suffered a shoulder injury after just nine games, and the Grizzlies quickly declared him out for the season. Their season record of 27–55 allowed them to finish 13th in the Western Conference, behind the Jazz, Rockets, and Golden State Warriors.

The Grizzlies can only watch and wait patiently till their chance comes as the playoffs go into the final rounds for the time being. They will be back to full strength in October with the return of Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and Morant, and they are certain that their team can win it all if they stay healthy.

The basketball world will be watching to see if GG Jackson can live up to his big talk about LeBron, since the Grizzlies obviously still have a lot to prove.
