BREAKING NEWS: With Trey Holly’s Recent Developments, LSU Could Be An Option For RBs Looking To Transfer.

When a jury dismissed the attempted second-degree murder case against running back Trey Holly, the LSU football team believed that Holly would be making a comeback this spring.

Nevertheless, Holly was charged with felonies related to guns. In the hopes that Holly would be available for LSU this summer, the trial was scheduled to start this summer. But the most recent information is not good for LSU football or Trey Holly.

A new judge was assigned to the case after the first judge was forced to withdraw himself owing to a conflict of interest. It is now anticipated that the trial will take place in early to mid-2025.

Trey Holly’s chances of playing in 2024 are not good because the lawsuit has been postponed once more, and the school is unlikely to allow him to return until his legal problems are handled. Holly and LSU are both devastated because they had anticipated that he would be back before the current season began.

While the team should think about trying to add a running back, the LSU football team is now an appealing landing destination for a transfer running back. By 2024, LSU will only have three running backs on the squad due to Holly’s absence.

John Emery Jr., who registered on the transfer portal but hasn’t committed, is one person who might go back to LSU. The transfer portal still has a number of excellent backs available, including Jalen Berger, Keshawn Wicks, and Star Thomas.
A running back has to be added to this team.

If the LSU football team is to survive the 2024–25 season, they now need to add a transfer body at running back. If Holly is unable to play this season, the team will have lost three of its top six rushers and four of its top seven rushers. With just three running backs, the Tigers will have to replace 2,200 yards of rushing production, which will be difficult if one of them is lost to injury.
