RETIREMENT ALERT: Former LSU’s TE Playoffs National Champion, Announces His Retirement From Football- Thanks For The Love..

Thornton Moss, a tight end with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, has declared his retirement from sports.

Moss is only 25 years old and was a member of the LSU Tigers’ 2019 National Championship squad.

“Knowing when something is finished is always crucial. Whatever we name it—closing doors, closing circles, ending chapters—the important thing is to put those periods of life in the past. Moss expressed gratitude in his statement.

Thaddeus Moss began his collegiate career with the North Carolina State Wolfpack before transferring to LSU and winning the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship.

He is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss. In his one and only season in Baton Rouge, Moss caught 47 passes for 570 yards and four touchdowns; however, three of those scores occurred during the College Football Playoffs.

Moss caught one touchdown reception in LSU’s lopsided 63-21 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Peach Bowl, and he added two more significant scores in the team’s 42-25 triumph over the Clemson Tigers.

With five minutes remaining in the third quarter, Moss scored his second touchdown of the game to put the Tigers up by ten, giving them some breathing room going into the fourth quarter. Moss’ first touchdown of the game came with ten seconds remaining in the first half, putting LSU up 11 going into the half.
