BREAKING NEWS: Best Player Sends Serious Message To San Francisco 49ers Front Office About Getting Paid

Brandon Aiyuk, a wide receiver with the San Francisco 49ers, delivered a serious message to the team’s front office about what he expected from his contract. The 49ers are discussing with Aiyuk about extending his contract.
The 49ers just lost a veteran player, Arik Armstead, who felt disrespected by the offer San Francisco made to him this summer after nine seasons with the organization. The 49ers will not disrespect Aiyuk, either.
According to a transcript of Aiyuk’s statements on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe, he wants to continue with the 49ers but wants to be paid fairly. According to the transcription of Aiyuk’s comment by Josh Alper for NBC Sports:

“I’m trying to get what I deserve,” Aiyuk stated. “I feel like this season, this football season, I figured out who I was as a person and a player — what I contribute to the table, the locker room, and the company. When I step into the building, I feel a sense of value. People will follow me because I have done things the proper way while I have been in that building. From the first time I walked in there till earlier this morning.

“From the first time I walked in there until this morning. If they don’t perceive the value, that’s all it is. Other than that, there is nothing else. I can’t get into it. We have pros working on both sides, so hopefully we can reach an agreement to continue playing professional football.”

The 49ers may not be able to pay everyone what they deserve. When the salary cap is low, elite clubs face this issue. The 49ers must also give Brock Purdy what he deserves, maybe as early as next offseason. Frankly, Purdy is the NFL’s most underpaid quarterback right now.
