WWE talent LA Knight has fired another shot at AJ Styles after being ‘arrested’ on SmackDown last week.
The fan favorite megastar’s storyline conflict with the Phenomenal One took a wild turn on Friday night’s episode when Styles neglected to show up to the event, and it was evident his adversary was not going to let that go.
During SmackDown, Styles, who is more ripped than ever following a tremendous physique change, sat at home for an interview with WWE about the forthcoming grudge battle at WrestleMania 40.
However, shortly into the conversation, the 46-year-old wrestler dashed outdoors after hearing a car horn constantly honk.
WWE’s camera followed him into the lawn, where Knight, 41, instantly began trash talking Styles before going on the attack, culminating in a narrative sequence featuring ‘officers’ dragging Knight away.
He sarcastically wrote, “Maybe I should invest in a front gate instead of video games, Styles…” YEAH’
The two superstars began to fight and collided with the cameraman, causing the clip to cut out as commentators Corey Graves and Wade Barrett announced they have access to videos from the cops on the scene.
Officers arrived and handcuffed Knight, as the charismatic star vowed to continue appearing as long as Styles avoided him on SmackDown.
He even apologized as he was led into the car, saying that the cops will have their work cut out for them in the coming weeks leading up to WrestleMania.
In a wise move, WWE declared that Styles will not be ‘pursuing charges’, and Knight has been freed, paving the way for a similar segment next week.
The sketch, which was done in a more realistic style than most, continues a long line of similar tale beats from the past, most notably when Dominik Mysterio was jailed for hitting his famed father Rey at his house on Christmas Eve 2022.
Knight and Styles have been feuding for months, and it culminated last month when the former world champion cost his opponent a World Heavyweight Title opportunity by flying to Australia and attacking him inside the Elimination Chamber.
He killed him again a few weeks ago with a steel chair, and Knight is now seeking vengeance.
Fans praised the unexpected twist in the story, with X user @CrispyWrestlin writing: “LA Knight screaming YEAH!” The fact that he was detained made this part amazing for me, as was Styles’ statement that he was going to terminate his LA Knight career. That could be one of my favorite portions this year #SmackDown.

However, several users were bewildered at the whole affair, with @thefw_ExConDom asking: ‘Why my TL filled with LA Knight getting arrested? #Smackdown’
